Iron-rich moong dal dhokla recipe

If you are looking for a way to increase your iron intake, here is one recipe just for you. This dhokla is made with moong dal which is a rich source of it and immensely beneficial for anemics. Being low in calories it is excellent for weight watchers as well. Read more benefits here.

Ingredients:

  • 300g moong dal
  • green chilli
  • Small piece of ginger
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • tsp fruit salts
  • tsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 10g low-fat paneer

Method:

  • Soak moong dal overnight, strain it and grind it with green chilli, ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.
  • Add fruit salts and salt to the mixture.
  • Grease a steel plate with oil and pour the batter and steam it for 10-15 minutes in a steamer.
  • Spread the grated paneer on it and serve.
