If you don’t have much time to whip out something extravagant during fasts, this recipe can come to your rescue. It is filling but at the same time is nutritious, tasty and easy to cook.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup rice used during fasting(sama)
- ½ potato cubes
- ½ tbsp ghee
- 1 green chilli
- ½ tsp jeera
- Rock salt
- Coriander for garnish
Method:
- Heat ghee in a vessel, add jeera and when it starts to crackle, add potato and rice.
- Stir till they look a bit fried. Add chopped green chillies.
- Add salt and water, bring to a boil.
- Lower the flame and keep it covered for about 15 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander.
