Navratri Special Recipe: Sabudana Kheer

Sabudana is one ingredient that is often eaten during fasts. But if you’ve simply stuck to eating sabudana khichdi, here’s a variant for you. Try this kheer to keep you satiated for a longer time when you fast. It is low in fat. Read the benefits of sabudana here. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sago
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar/1 tablet of artificial sugar
  • 1-2 eliachi seeds
  • 1-2 kesar strands

Method:

  • Wash and soak sago in water for 15 minutes.
  • Soak kesar in little water for 10 minutes.
  • In a vessel, boil all the other ingredients till sabudana becomes translucent.
  • Add the saffron with the water.
  • Serve hot.
